The Naga Buddha is inspired from stone sculpture from Ankor Wat and it's Indian Vishnuism, Shivaism, and Saktiism roots. Naga Buddha's are frequently depicted with a halo of hooded Cobras protecting and shielding the Buddha from Monsoon rains during meditation.
